Our Moodboard & Storyboard (Preliminary)

We created a moodboard for most elements of our film opening's narrative elements: the architecture (location), the main character (her costume and aesthetic), color schemes and palettes, the dreamscape idea (both the dreamy and the nightmarish) as well as for the concept of the evil dream.

Within the team we divided our tasks for collaborative posts like these. We got on a meeting to discuss what our plan was and then went ahead with me (Rija) designing the moodboards - Fatima and Zara went on our favorite site (Pinterest of course) and tried their best to find as many images relating to the aesthetic we wanted to achieve. We created a Pinterest board and from there created what is our final set of moodboards.

Then comes our storyboard, containing only a few main shots from our entire project, but we knew we only wanted to draw about 7 scenes. Since I had a Samsung tablet with a pen I could digitally illustrate it so we decided to make use of that advantage. Zara and Fatima kept going through our list of shots and kept debating which seven shots they wanted since they're all part of a montage, therefore almost equally important. As we went along we finalized our shots, made some fun of my (non-existent) artistic abilities and there we had it - our storyboard:
